Treating Dehydrated Skin the Right Way

Dehydrated skin basically refers to a condition wherein the body lacks water and thus makes the skin look pale and dull. This usually happens because of an insufficient consumption of water and the first symptoms usually include a dull, dry, pale and lifeless texture. After that, the urinary system might get affected, as well, and this could result in a urinary infection. Because of this, it would be absolutely vital for you to drink enough water everyday in order to keep your skin hydrated.

Remember: if your body doesn’t get enough water in it, you might end up needing medical help – sometimes even in the form of glucose drips!

What Causes Dehydrated Skin?

Aside from a lack of water, you might have dehydrated skin because of walking or standing in the sun for too long. This will cause your body to lose water and make your skin look lifeless and dry at the same time. How Can You Treat Dehydrated Skin?

It would be highly advisable to drink a lot of water, in general, in order to restore any damage that might have been done to your body. Ideally, you should drink a minimum of two liters everyday and drink some fruit juices, as well, for skin rejuvenation. In fact, by doing this, you should start seeing a huge difference after just five days.

For starters, your skin will get better texture and a better texture and eventually look lustrous and smooth again. Aside from that, drinking coconut water would be very helpful for skin hydration, as well, and you should try to reduce the amount of coffee and tea that you drink, too. It would also be advisable not to go into direct sunlight and to bring an umbrella with you at all times to protect yourself from the sun, just in case.

If you are currently suffering from an extremely bad bout of dehydrated skin, though, you might want to try drinking a solution of lime juice, water, sugar and salt to heal it. Ideally, you should drink this solution every hour until your skin is completely healed. Try it!
