Natural Methods to Remove Blemishes

In the quest to make skin as beautiful and flawless as possible, many people are happy when they find successful ways to remove blemishes.

The quest to remove blemishes can sometimes be a long and aggravating one. The reason for this is because there are many different types of blemishes. The cause of each blemish can directly affect how easy or hard it is to make the blemish fade or vanish. There are a handful of natural treatments that can be used to take care of these unsightly marks. Some of them are specific to certain types of blemishes while others can be used for all dark marks in general. Always make sure to consult with a dermatologist or a healthcare professional before using any sort of method to remove blemishes because natural does not always equal safe. There are individuals who may have a negative reaction to some of the ingredients used in the masks.

Natural Treatments

In order to find the right method to remove blemishes on your face, you should keep track of the results from the different remedies you try. It will be easier to pinpoint what works for your face if you know how your skin reacts to a variety of natural ingredients.

  • Mask for preventing blemishes- Mix 2 Tbsp of lemon juice, 2 Tbsp powered milk, and 4 Tbsp of natural honey into a paste. Put the paste onto your face and allow it to sit for around twenty minutes. After washing off the mask, apply some yogurt and let sit for ten minutes. Wash and rinse your face.

  • Treating capillary blemishes- Squeeze lime juice into 2 Tbsp of milk and put this mixture onto your blemishes. When the application dries, put some aloe vera pulp onto it. Place a bandage over the skin and leave it on all night.

  • Sun spots- Create a thick paste with salt or sugar and lemon. Put the paste on the spot for twenty minutes at night.

  • Removing all blemishes including freckles- Whisk an egg white with four drops of myroxylon balsamum (black balm) and apply to the blemishes morning and night.

Removing General Blemishes:

  • Coconut cream- Rub on the area every day in the evening.

  • Vinegar and onion- Chop up some onion and add vinegar. This helps to remove blemishes when applied directly to the area and left on for about fifteen minutes.

  • Veggies and yogurt- Put plain yogurt directly onto the blemish and cover the area with a carrot slice. Only leave this on for a couple minutes before rinsing it off.

  • Clay mask- Mix carrot juice, 1/2 an orange, and 2 Tbsp of clay in a bowl. Apply to the entire face and allow it to dry completely. Once it is nice and hard, wash it off.

  • Parsley and cucumbers- Place 5 Tbsp diced parsley, 5 Tbsp blended cucumber, and 5 Tbsp sesame oil into a bottle. Seal the bottle and place it in a dark area for a couple of days. Put this concoction directly onto blemishes through the use of compresses. Leave in place for twenty minutes before washing off.

Extra Considerations

Anything applied to your skin to remove blemishes should be done with caution. As with any other sort of treatment, there are things that should be kept in mind throughout the application process:

  • Always speak with a professional if your blemishes get worse or simply do not get better.

  • Keep track of how your skin reacts to different ingredients. For example, lemon juice can be irritating.

  • Anything containing Vitamin C can make your skin photosensitive making it important to avoid the sun initially after treatments.

  • If skin irritation does occur, stop the treatment immediately and do not reuse.

  • People with all skin types may want to use one of the remedies on a small patch of skin before applying to the entire face or problem area.

  • It is always helpful to treat the underlying causes of your blemishes such as avoiding the sun or taking care of acne.
