Kidney Stones and their symptoms

A kidney stone is a mass that is made up of crystals that have separated from urine and these crystals have developed over a period of time. Increasing your urine volume may reduce the size of the kidney stone and also reduce the risk of these stones developing. The foods to eat that will help to promote this are couch grass, asparagus root, goldenrod, birch leaf, horsetail, parsley, stinging nettle and lovage.
If you have a medical history of family members suffering from kidney stones, it may be you are at higher risk of developing them in comparison to others who have no family history of this. It appears that the age group that is most susceptible to the development of kidney stones is between 20 and 50 years of age. There have been some reports stating that certain medication may increase the risk of a kidney stone developing. Or the environment within your own body is encouraging the growth of these stones.
