How to Spice Up Your Dukan Diet Recipes with Ease

Dukan Diet recipes generally consist of foods that are low in salt, sugar and fat. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to be low in flavor, too. If you want to enjoy your food and your diet, you have to make sure that you are satisfied and contented with the food that you eat in the first place. If you are currently struggling to make your Dukan Diet recipes more flavorful, then here are three ways to add more flavor to your diet while losing weight at the same time.

Add Some Spices and Herbs into the Mix

Practically every kind of spice and herb can be added into your Dukan Diet recipes during its Attack stage for that added hot, spicy, tangy or cool flavor. Crushed chili, for example, can instantly spice up your food and give it some added heat. The good news is that not every chili out there will burn your mouth, so you can choose from various flavors that range from milked to hot and from smoky to peppery. Mint, on the other hand, can cool your food down and it makes for a great dressing or dip for cooked meats, too. All you have to do is mix some chopped mint into your food. If you want, you can also take herbs into consideration, such as coriander, parsley, thyme, oregano, and rosemary. Just try experimenting with different things until you find something that you like. Keep in mind that simple things like chopped onions, garlic, chives or shallot can make every meal instantly delicious, as well.

Use Pickled Onions or Gherkins in Your Recipes

Pickled onions and gherkins would make great additions to Dukan Diet recipes for a tasty crunch and tang overall. You can enjoy these in small amounts during the Attack stage by sprinkling some on your food. If you want more, though, then you can just add them in as your vegetables on your diet’s vegetable and protein day.

Replace Sugar with Sweeteners Instead

Although Dukan Diet recipes focus mostly on low sugar foods to lose weight, you can still use sweeteners in your food during the Attack stage. You can even experiment with vanilla through vanilla essence or vanilla pods if you want. Cinnamon, on the other hand, can give your food a sweet kind of heat and can be added into sweet recipes for an African vibe and flavor. Nutmeg and cinnamon an be added onto oat bran porridge, as well. Start making these changes now.
