There are a number of factors that cause fatigue and in turn fatigue causes a number of health conditions.
Causes of fatigue
The people who are most commonly affected by fatigue are those who stay outside of the home for the majority of the day and those with a particularly hectic schedule. However there is another form of fatigue that affects people despite having the required amount of rest and sleep. Individuals who find that they feel exhausted even after waking up after having a proper nights sleep, are suffering form this alternate form of fatigue that is not as common. In this case the condition is known as extreme fatigue. Extreme fatigue causes are different to common fatigue and it can lead to a number of health problems. The best treatment of extreme fatigue is to eliminate the cause, therefore preventing the condition. Those who believe they are suffering from it should take the time to consider the potential causes of their fatigue and take appropriate action to control it.
Symptoms of extreme fatigue
As well as the obvious symptom of exhaustion, there are a number of others that often accompany it. Some of the common symptoms associated with extreme fatigue include:
- Extreme and persistent exhaustion
- A lack of energy
- Painful joints
- Painful or achy muscles
- A lack of focus or inability to concentrate or pay attention
- Increased heart rate

Although there are a number of factors that can lead to the onset of extreme fatigue, two of the most common include an unnerving mind and a low standard of living. In order to really rest, the mind requires complete stability and peace. If there is something causing your mind to become restless and unnerving, then there is a good chance that you will develop fatigue. Try to avoid psychological problems whenever possible and be able to identify and control them whenever they are unavoidable. Certain psychological traumas are a part of life and cannot always be avoided, for example relationship break ups, divorce, death or loss of a loved one and so on. For the sake of your health, it is important to deal with such issues directly and not let them fester in your mind. Lifestyle and standard of living is another of the big fatigue causes. Such factors include amount of time spent working, consumption of junk food and not enough sleep. Those who drink alcohol excessively and those who smoke are also more prone to extreme fatigue.
