These foods are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, which are required for the metabolism of glucose in the body. Whole grain foods such as brown rice, cereals and brown bread also support healthy sugar levels.

Weight Management

Blood sugar levels and obesity are closely related. Overweight individuals are more likely to develop elevated blood glucose levels. You can, however, maintain your weight by eating a healthy diet and by exercising regularly. Substituting high-calorie, high-fat, and refined sugar foods with healthy whole grains and low fat alternatives is a great way to start.

Physical activity for at least 30 minutes each day, five days a week can help improve your blood circulation and metabolism. It can help consume the excessive sugars in your body, and thereby maintain ideal blood glucose levels.
